Day 28 : 52.4 miles - Aldworth

The guys were busy today (but I suspect they saw the forecast last night) so I knew it would be a solo ride. But I wasn't expecting it to be so wet.

The key to long wet rides is not staying dry - that just ain't gonna happen - but it's more a case of keeping your core warm.

With everything packed in freezer bags in my rear pockets to keep them dry, I set off in the rain. Overshoes (once I'd spent 10 minutes trying to find them), wearing longs (haven't done that since last year) and winter jacket.

The yellow lenses in my glasses helped to make the dark skies seem cheery, but today was a real plod. It really was a case of just getting out there and getting the miles in.
