Cool commute in (7C) but remembered to wear leg-warmers again so all was good. I swear by my leg-warmers and arm-warmers. I've been in shorts for the afternoon commutes since early February, but the mornings are sometimes still too cool at 5:30am. The leg-warmer and arm-warmer option allows me to carry minimal clothing and stay warm on both commutes. Seemed faster this morning on the ride in but I'm guessing it was tailwind assisted.
The commute home was warmer, but the skies changed dramatically along the route from blue sky to heavy dark cloud.
As I'd pre-arranged to meet MrsGreyPea along the route at Bradfield, I half expected the call from her to say she was bailing due to the threat of rain, but she was there at the rendezvous as planned. I think we can safely say she's got the bug. As it happened, we were lucky and it stayed dry. It's so lovely to ride part of the commute with her. To put this in perspective, she's ridden 74 miles in the last 3 days. I'm really proud of her.
