Day 2 : 53.2 miles

#Porridge breakfast with a special sprinkling of @mornflakecereal Oatbran on top for added ooomph. Hadn't ridden many hills recently so the plan was to head out over Faccombe way to take in the ridge. Incidently, the ridge has the highest point in the SE England with Walbury Hill at 297m so it's always a good opportunity to test the legs and lungs.

Rode over to my riding buddy Jim's for an awful instant coffee (running joke) and we were on our way out into a headwind. Prefer this option giving us the tailwind home. The route took the climb twice, and used some new  lanes again. Never ceases to amaze me how we can keep finding new traffic-free lanes around here. Great ride under sunny/cloudy skies. Legs felt great today despite a full week of commuting.

Today I decided to take a photo of the typically twee English village of Winterbourne. No graffiti today :)
